someone please explain to me regarding the whole alliance holding a town thing and elite missions and when you can do them

im very confused also anything you might want to add from your personal experiences please add any info helps

Well, im also very confused. You have a very good question. I have not an answer, but i want to ask somthing related to it. Is there someone who knows anything about the way the alliance factions points are distributed, how are calculations made to the decrease of faction points? Is there a possibility to see which member of an alliance has donated? These questions i have send to ANet (the support site) but i got an response that they couldnt help me but i should search the fansites about it. Nothing found but i keep searching, i hope someone who knows anything about it can help us with this.

Given enough faction, an alliance will take control of an outpost. The top city on each side (Cavalon and House zu Heltzer) have Elite Missions associated with them which can only be entered by parties with at least one member of the controlling alliance.

So if you want to play an Elite Mission, gather enough faction to control one of those cities, or make good friends with the alliance who does.

The alliance system needs work yet. So far there's no way to determine who donated, how much each guild contributes, who is online in allied guilds, etc.

ok so if my guild (alliance) has the most faction of any alliance then i can do the cavalon elite (my guild is luxon)?

I believe that when your alliance controls a city / outpost, the faction deteriorates at 10% per day.

Also, somewhere there seems to be a place where you can find out the faction of competing alliances, ie, close outpost competition, but I don't know how.
